Saralanj village
The village Saralanch is situated on the southern border of Hadrut region of Karabagh, 17 kilometers from the regional center. At the beginning of 20-th century Saralanch, as well as the other frontier villages of NKR, had the numerous Armenian population. But As a result of the assimilatory policy of Azerbaijan government, there lived about 20 Armenians before the Karabakh movement. During the Karabagh war the village has been burnt down and the houses have been detonated by Azeri units.
Between 2001 and 2002, "France-Karabakh" NGO has constructed 8 residential homes with animal barns. The works on construction of 5 houses and water supply system are in progress.
The four families residing in Saralanch are the participants of the "Yerkir fund" program.
