1. Which regions are included in the program?
The program includes the Republic of Armenia Davoush and Kegharkunik border regions, and the existing and newly established communities within the NKR Kashatagh, Nor Shahumian, Kovsakani and Hadrut regions.
2. Who are the recipients of the program?
Eligible are the existing and the newly established animal farms within the regions mentioned above. The farms will be grouped into co-operative organizations.
3. On what basis will the funding be given?
The necessary resources for the creation of the farms will be given on a leasing basis which will make sure the sponsorships are utilized for the intended purpose and force the villagers in creating their own farms.
On behalf of "Yerkir" Union, the village co-operative organization will sign contracts with each recipient which will clarify the responsibilities of each party.
4. Who will monitor the program?
The monitoring will be done by associate institutions, member organizations and local representatives of "Yerkir" Union. The work will be done in cooperation with local self-governing legal authorities.
5. What mechanisms will be employed in order to guarantee no loss of money?
The contract signed by the recipient will make him/her liable with all his/her assets. All the members of the local co-operative branch will also sign guarantee contracts which will additionally insure the possible losses.
6. How will the inhabitant perform his/her responsibilities?
The inhabitant will perform his/her responsibilities by bartering. Sale of animals is a considerably difficult job due to the lack of developed markets.
7. How will the sponsor be kept informed of the program developments?
Each sponsor will have his/her personal page where he/she will be informed about the project and recipient of the amount. Every six months, "Yerkir" Union will present a detailed report to the sponsor, about the developments of the "Yerkir" Fund" program, mentioning current number of contracts, the quantities of animals or bee hives given out, harvest, the amount invested, the value of contracts, the assessed value and profit.
