PROJECT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL ANIMAL FARMS
The livelihood and long term development of the newly established or rebuilt communities in the RA and NKR border regions is impossible without securing individual income sources for the newly settled families.
But currently the population of the border regions is living in extreme poverty. Most of the inhabitants do not have individual income sources. That is the result of the mistaken strategies of the government in the agricultural funding of the repatriates. The agricultural benefits of the repatriates are thus affected, the allocated grants are insufficient and their use is not monitored.
"Yerkir" UNGO for repatriation and settlement is sponsoring a program called "Yerkir Fund", the goal of which is to assist each repatriated family in creating and developing an animal farm.
The profits reaped from the program will form the capital of "Yerkir" Union. The interest gained from the capital will be used to cover the running expenses of "Yerkir" Union, as well as to fund other rural projects. In this way, by sponsoring once, over a certain period of time, each sponsor can not only assist one family in surviving and in laying roots in the strategic region it inhabits but at the same time, become a partner in ensuring "Yerkir" Union's continuity.
